Achieve - Achieve was founded by a group of governors and CEOs to help states raise academic standards, measure performance against those standards, establish clear accountability for results and strengthen public confidence in our education system. Achieve publishes policy briefs on standards-based reform. Alliance for Excellent Education - The Alliance for Excellent Education seeks to make it possible for at-risk middle and high school students to achieve high standards and graduate prepared for college and success in life. Center on Education Policy - CEP helps citizens better understand the role of public education and the need to improve the academic quality of public schools. Consortium for Adequate School Funding in Georgia - CASFG is a nonprofit organization comprised of 51 school systems that seeks adequate funding for Georgia's schools. Council of Chief State School Officers - CCSSO is a nonprofit organization comprised of education officials who lead the departments responsible for elementary and secondary education. Education Commission of the States - The ECS is an organization of state policy makers focused on improving public education. Forty-nine states, three territories and the District of Columbia are currently members. The ECS researches, analyzes and disseminates information about current trends and issues in state education policy. The Education Trust - The Education Trust works for the high academic achievement of all students at all levels. They research and analyze issues, advocate for policy changes, and provide assistance schools and colleges. Manhattan Institute for Policy Research - The Manhattan Institute is a think tank whose mission is to develop and disseminate new ideas that foster greater economic choice and individual responsibility. National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education - NCPIE advocates for the involvement of parents and families in their children's education. The site includes resources for fostering family-school relationships. Southern Regional Education Board - SREB's membership consists of government and education leaders from sixteen southern states. The organization has seven school improvement initiatives, including High Schools That Work, and publishes reports on educational issues from early childhood through postsecondary education. |
